Private Water Taxi

We will enjoy a private boat ride through Clayoquot Sound on route to Vargas Island a short distance away from Tofino. Along the way we will have opportunities to enjoy the scenery and keep a sharp lookout for sea otters, whales and sea birds.

Spectacular Coastal Views

Hiking the western coastline of Vargas Island we will be exposed to the open Pacific Ocean, expansive views of Clayoquot Sound UNESCO Biosphere Reserve and outer islands and reefs.

Wildlife Viewing Opportunities

We will be exploring a remote section of Vargas Island which is home to a healthy wolf population, if we are lucky we will find some of their tracks imprinted into the sand. Ahous Bay is also frequented by feeding Gray Whales during the summer months and we may be able to see a few along the way.

Getting There: This tour begins in the village of Tofino, where we will take a boat to neighbouring Vargas Island Provincial Park to begin the hike approximately 5nm away.
