BOOKING POLICIES

Prices are in Canadian dollars.

Listed prices do not include tax. An additional 5% Federal Goods and Services Tax (GST) will be added to the tour total. We will apply the appropriate tax rate when you book.

An invoice will be sent to you online where you can pay by credit card. We accept MasterCard, Visa, and American Express.

Half/Full Day Tours

  • Full payment must accompany booking.

Multi-Day Treks

  • A deposit of 50% of tour price is required.
  • Balance of payment is due 1 week before tour start.
  • Full payment must accompany bookings made less than 1 week before tour start.

There is a degree of hazard in all outdoor activities. All participants must sign the Long Beach Nature Tours waiver of liability prior to commencing any hiking tour.

Tours depart rain or shine however; should Long Beach Nature Tours cancel your excursion due to extreme weather conditions, we will do our best to reschedule for a later date. Should we be unable to do so, you will be issued a full refund.

The participation of any person on any tour is continually subject to the discretion of the guide and Long Beach Nature Tours.

As we will be traveling into a remote area; it is imperative you disclose any medical conditions that could put you, your guide or others safety at risk. A questionnaire will be sent you to fill out at the time of booking. Tours take place in a variety of terrain and locations. A modest level of fitness is required.

In the event that Long Beach Nature Tours cancels a tour your full payment will immediately be refunded. Should you need to cancel from a tour, the following terms will apply:

Half/Full Day Tours

  • If you wish to cancel, an administration fee of $25.00 will be charged up to 8 days prior to the hike and the full amount becomes non-refundable hereafter.

Multi-Day Treks

  • If you wish to cancel, your 50% deposit will be forfeited up to 8 days prior to the hike and the full amount becomes non-refundable hereafter.
  • For all tours that have an accommodation component to the booking, additional cancellation fees may apply based on the specific accommodation provider’s policies.
  • Cancellations must be received in writing. Cancellations are only effective once your notification is received by Long Beach Nature Tours.
  • We ask that you thoroughly understand and consider the booking and cancellation policy prior to booking as we make financial commitments to our guides (and food and transportation providers) once you have booked and we have confirmed a trip.  We take your booking in good faith and begin incurring costs upon confirmation.

Island weather is unpredictable in all seasons and is a constant factor that shapes the decisions we make before and during our tours. Some of our tours requiring accessing outer islands by boat to begin hiking; these tours will require fair weather and calm seas. Other tours are located in the mountains and current conditions will reflect the locations we are able to access.

It would not be practical for us to refund every situation where our guests do not get the weather conditions they hope for so we make every effort to develop alternative plans. We will work diligently to give you the best experience with the conditions we face at the time.

All of our hikes are private and can be booked online. Please use our Online Reservation Service, we will follow up with you or you can also book by phone.

Payment must be received within 48 hours to confirm your booking. Upon confirmation of your booking, you will be provided with a detailed map to your excursions departure point.

Please note that unless specified, transportation to and from tour locations is not provided by Long Beach Nature Tours. Should you require transportation, we would be happy to assist with travel arrangements with Tofino’s local car service, Pacific Rim Navigators.
