This tour is recommended for the “hikers of all levelsand is an adventure for someone looking for an off-the-beaten-path experience. Expect to contend with the occasional challenging uneven and rocky terrain however most of the hiking takes place on beaches, making this hike one of the easier multi-day coastal hiking trails in the region. This multi-day backpacking tour features a variety of camping breakfasts, picnic lunches out on the trails and dinners prepared by your guide in the evenings. In addition, we provide you with an assortment of snacks to eat on the trail at your own discretion. While we can often accommodate special dietary requests, certain requests may require an additional fee.


We provide gear which includes the following:

  • Shared Tent

Rental options for additional gear include:

  • Backpack – $50
  • Sleeping Bag – $50
  • Thermarest – $50


Upon booking, you will be provided with a suggested packing list.


Ready to hike? Contact our office to confirm availability. A 50% deposit is required to confirm your trip. Please note that the minimum group size is 2 guests and the maximum is 4.


All guests are required to attend a trip orientation at 5:00pm on the day prior to departure to go over packing and logistics. We will meet at the Atleo Air float plane dock for departure the following day.


Your safety is our top priority. Each hike is led by professional hiking guides along with additional support staff. All of our guides are wilderness-certified first responders, each with years of guiding and wilderness experience. We’ve developed comprehensive risk management protocols that our guides adhere to in case of an emergency, and guides carry a satellite phone at all time. Wilderness travel requires preparation, knowledge and at times can be difficult. Being well prepared will enhance the quality of your experience. Our guides are experienced in the backcountry, have extensive first aid training, understand the local hazards and are able to minimize risk. We are here to assist you while you prepare for your trip, to educate you about the region and to take some of the load off to help you relax and enjoy your vacation without the stress of the unknown.

Once your tour has been confirmed, you will receive a complete preparation booklet to help you get ready. We are happy to assist you by answering any questions you may have.

Due to our location on the western coast of Vancouver Island, we are facing the open North Pacific Ocean and our weather patterns therefore are controlled by the sea. Our climate is mild with winter temperatures averaging 8-10 degrees celsius and summer temperatures averaging 12-20 degrees celsius. We recommend being prepared for a range of conditions. Most tours will go out rain or shine.

All-Inclusive Trekking Experience

We cover all trek logistics from the moment you book with us to help make this trekking experience a relaxing and educational vacation. We will provide you with most of the gear needed to be comfortable out on the trail, and have rental options for additional gear. All meals are included and will be prepared by your guide throughout the trek and roundtrip transportation from Tofino to Nootka Island is provided by Atleo Air.

Our guides are all expert naturalists, interpreters, and trained in risk management and advanced wilderness first aid. They will provide you with guidance, education, safety and camaraderie.
